What does Jesus have to do with light bulbs? More than you think.
Light bulbs have to be changed. Someone has to assume responsibility to change them. Most do not even know the names of those who perform this task. And I doubt that they even care.
Because they are serving Jesus. Serving Jesus is not an optional part of Christianity. It is at the core of Christianity. Jesus came "not to be served, but to serve" (Matt. 20:28). Jesus also said: "If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you" (John 13:14-15).
There are many servants here. Quiet, behind-the-scenes, hard-working, Jesus loving and Jesus - serving people. I know, because the lights are on.
